Client Overview

Spykar — India's premier fashion retail brand, operating at scale.
Spykar is one of India's most recognized fashion and apparel brands, operating a large, distributed network of stores, warehouses, vendors, sales teams and logistics partners. At the center of Spykar's data infrastructure is Infor ERP — but ERP data alone doesn't solve operational execution. That gap is exactly where Vovance was brought in to build.

The Challenge

Complex retail operations demand more than point solutions.

  1. Return orders required manual coordination across salespeople, warehouse teams and logistics partners with no structured ownership.
  2. Dispatch tracking depended on multiple transporters with varying visibility — leaving managers and customers in the dark.
  3. Defect and product feedback from stores was inconsistent and difficult to act on at a regional or category level.
  4. The Infor ERP held the data — but there was no execution layer to translate it into role-appropriate actions.
  5. Vendors and external partners lacked system access, leading to constant email and phone coordination loops.
  6. Spykar needed one unified operational platform sitting above the ERP and mirroring real business processes.

Layer I — The Challenge

Managing a distributed network of stores, warehouses, and vendors with high volumes of dispatches and returns. The Infor ERP serves as the base layer—Vovance built the Execution Layer that slides over it, transforming operational chaos into a shared truth where 10 distinct roles operate with accountability without friction.

The Mechanism — RSO Lifecycle

"A controlled, auditable return process where every action has one owner and every transition is status-driven."

  1. Initiation: Return request raised with reason code and evidence. Automatically routed to the single responsible approver.
  2. Validation: Business rule validation. Quantity checks, return window verification, and fraud pattern analysis.
  3. Authorization: Financial impact assessment. Credit note generation, refund approval, and ledger adjustment.
  4. Logistics: Pickup scheduling, route assignment, and proof-of-collection with timestamped verification.
  5. Resolution: Stock reconciliation, quality inspection, and final disposition—restock, repair, or write-off.

Layer III — Cumulative Impact

  • 10 Roles
  • Unified Architecture
  • 1 Owner per Action
  • Zero Friction
  • Accountability by Design
